Regarding

Ren can't remember much of his mother but he does know that her disappearence made his father change. His anger issues and constant beatings made Ren run away several times yet nothing changed. To stay away from his dad, he often would hang out at school after class just to avoid going home. That's where he met Yuna, a seemingly naive girl sketching in the art room after school. Ren liked hanging out with her, as she would not ask too many questions and let him be. Finding out that she was actually a humanoid, a so called Mechanica, did not change that relationship either, yet his interest in knowing their limits increased.

They stuck together for the rest of their school days, before taking different paths in life. Yuna became a fulltime Mechanica, Ren got involved with the Mafia and rose in their ranks. Nowadays their relationship is purely sexual.
