Trivia

  • Meia suffers from an unnamed illness, that is a direct result of human experiments generations ago. While not many descendants of the initial tests remain, there are still a couple hundred.
  • Those experiments we're mostly done on lower level people as the payment was very promising
  • While the inital testers had no symptons at all, things got worse and worse with each generation.
  • There is a special clinic for those with Mondschein-Ex (as nicknamed by the doctors), but the treatment is very expensive and mostly just affective for those in early-stages. Late-stagers will be kept in cages in the basement as they will fully transform into their animal one day and loose their humanity
  • Meia used to be a fan of Digital Vortex after seeing them on the screens in the hotel, but after the incident with Hwan, she lost all interest in music.

Regarding

Born and raised in the lowest levels of Kiyon, Meia never had it easy in life. Things got even worse, when her mother suddenly passed away and her father left her and her younger brother. Despite working 4-5 jobs a week to afford medicine for her brother, he also joined his mother in a better place. Ever since then Meia had been working aimlessly just to keep afload. But destiny didn't want things to go her way. While cleaning a bathroom at a hotel she had been working for as a maid she suddenly fainted. When she woke up again, her body would change when in contact with the moonlight. Even thought the resident Hwan had promised to help her out, he betrayed her and got her fired from her most profitable job, just before payday. Now Meia is struggling with keeping a roof above her head and a mysterious illness that transformers her body more and more into that of a buterfly with each passing moon-phase.

Kiyon / The Planet of Cuizuno 895K

You can imagine the city of Kiyon like a small version of Coruscant from the Star Wars universe. The city is divided in different levels. Rich and famous people are living in the city's upper levels while poor and/or homeless people find shelter in the dark lower levels.
It is not offically confirmed by the government but many people think that the government is ignoring/ restraining the lower levels.

The whole planet of Cuizuno 895K is covered by cities like Kiyon leaving almost no space for nature.
